T-joist first floor recessed profile blocks

Stowell Concrete has developed a couple of blocks designed to use with their pre-stressed T joists to satisfy the profile block requirements of Robust Details E-FC-6 and E-FC-7.

Stowell recessed T blocks need 50mm of concrete topping to bring the level flush with the top of the joists.

Stowell recessed T blocks have a nominal density of 1950kg/m3. RD440 recessed T blocks are used with T joists at 514mm centres. RD215 recessed T blocks are used with T joists at 289mm centres.

RD440 blocks weigh approx. 17.5kg each and are banded in multiples of 22. RD215 blocks weigh approx. 16.5kg each and are banded in multiples of 44.

Stowell RD440 and RD215 blocks have a compressive strength of 7.3N/mm².
